Partnering with Superunion on this historic network rebrand, we were tasked with bringing a new layer of narrative storytelling to a category of BBC content they coined Maverick.
We love when we get the chance to tell a story through pure visual abstraction. Thank you, BBC!
Our Maverick is a glowing sphere which acts as a disruptor — its eccentric movements trigger transformations that allow new creativity to blossom and then burst into a spirited weightless performance.
Process ->
Rigid body objects were designed/modeled in C4D or Maya. Cloth objects were designed/modeled in Marvelous. The geometries were brought into Houdini and remeshed for simulation. The Maverick’s collisions within the space drove the simulation.
