Don't just see a place, experience it. We're back at it with our friends at Airbnb — this time to craft a launch film that reintroduces Airbnb Experiences to the world.
This launch film harkens back to a time when travel was an exploration of a world full of wonder, rather than a modern checklist. The style we created has a visual grandeur that evokes the feeling of traveling to new places, meeting new folks, and experiencing new things. Visually, it connects to the beloved Get an Airbnb campaign we developed together, while pushing into more immersive territory.
We left behind the white cyc and self-contained homes for rich, living environments — Parisian streets, Tokyo alleyways, NYC clubs, and the mountains of Peru.
While the Get An Airbnb campaign was focused on intricate and effortless transitions of Airbnb homes, this new approach was focused on giving the scenes those living, breathing details of a real place: the breeze blowing through the grass, the specks of pollen in the air, or even the dripping water off the back of a leaping sea monster. These details, along with the intimate camera staging and shallow depth of field, put the viewer right in the action as if they're experiencing it firsthand.
"The Grand Adventure" debuted at Airbnb's 2025 Summer Release keynote and has since aired across major televised events and online.
